The nationwide promotional bus tour aims to raise the profile of the campaign and the day itself, which takes place on Saturday 3rd December.
The bus will be in Church Hill, next to St Clements Church, and will play host to a numerous activities, workshops and small businesses exhibitions including Leigh business Chocolate Buddha.
Ann Holland, Executive Cllr for the Economy, says: “We are delighted that our initiatives have been recognised nationally and that we will receive a visit from the tour bus. Leigh-on-Sea is an ideal location with the number of independent businesses in the area, with a unique opportunity for businesses there to benefit from the promotion the bus will provide.
“This will also be a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate the number of independent businesses we have across the Borough and we look forward to the bus to come back in the future to other areas including Hamlet Court Road, Southchurch Road, Thorpe Bay and Shoeburyness.”
To support Small Business Saturday on Saturday 3rd December, car parking will be free at the following car parks: lfracombe Avenue, North Road, Hamlet Court Road, Elm Road (Leigh-on-Sea), North Street, Ceylon Road and Thorpe Bay Broadway.
