The budget carrier will fly to Mahon, Menorca, twice a week between June and September 2015.
The new route takes the total number of summer destinations on offer from Southend Airport to 13, and easyJet say they expect around 500 people a week to fly to the Balearic island.
Passengers using Southend Airport can already fly direct to Menorca's Balearic neighbours, Ibiza and Mallorca.
